Ticketing Assistance

Prerequisites

Necessary conditions for the correct procedure of Issuing a Ticket and Boarding the Bus are the following:

Issue of Ticket

Cookies support.
Existence of an e-mail account.
Enter correct information (e-mail, full name, card number).
Possession of one of the following cards: VISA, MasterCard, Maestro, VisaElectron.
Acrobat Reader installed.
Printer.

Boarding the Bus

Arrival with the ticket printed.
Arrival at the KTEL station 15 minutes before the departure of the bus.
The passenger is obliged to carry the ticket with him during the journey and to show it to the driver or controller whenever and if requested.
Identification of the passenger by an official document such as a Police ID is required. When the ticket is subject to a discount regime, the passenger must carry proof of the discount (multi-child card, student card, etc.) and show it whenever requested.
In the event that the passenger has a discount ticket and does not bring the corresponding receipt, then he will pay additional money to cover the price of the entire ticket.

Step 1: Select Starting Point

At the beginning of the process, we select from the “From” field the starting point

Note: If no origin is selected, Destination will not appear in the To field. Also, if the list contains no data, there may be a problem communicating with the host server. In this case please try again later.

Step 2: Select Destination, Date and Locations

In this step, we select one of the possible destinations shown in the “To” field. Then, we choose the date on which we wish to travel as well as the number of tickets we wish to issue. Once we have completed our options, select “Continue”.

Step 3: Choose an Itinerary

If there are routes available, based on our choices from the previous steps, the available times of the routes are displayed from where we select the time we want to travel and then press the “Publish” button:

Note: In case the timetables do not suit us, we choose “Change” to start the process from the beginning.

Step 4: Import Details

In this step it is necessary to enter some information in order to issue the tickets based on our previous choices.

email: The email where the necessary link will be sent in order to download and then print the ticket. The ticket file is in pdf format (Adobe Portable Document Format). In case Acrobat Reader is not installed on your computer, you can download it from here: http://get.adobe.com/reader/.
Confirmation: You fill in the letters you see from the image in order to confirm that you are a real user and not some program or machine.

Then for each of the tickets we want to issue (as selected in the 2nd step – “Seats”) we fill in the following information:

Price: We select the ticket price category. The category is selected as follows: If the specific person who will travel with this ticket belongs to one of the discount categories, then they choose it, otherwise we choose the “Full” category. “Return” ticket refers to a ticket with an open return within three months from the date of the first ticket.
Passenger Name: The full name of the passenger for this ticket.
Identity/Discount Card Number: In order to identify the passenger, it is necessary to fill in the number of the Discount Card (such as a Multi-Child Card) in case the ticket price category requires this, otherwise we enter the Police Identification number.

Finally, a necessary condition to continue the process is to accept the terms of use by marking the corresponding option. In addition, if we want specific seats on the bus, we mark the “Manual Seat Selection” option. In this case we should be aware that the bus layout may not be accurate.

Since we have selected “Manual Seat Selection”, a bus layout (which may not be accurate) is displayed from which we can select specific seats. We make sure that the number of selected positions corresponds to the positions we have declared from step 2. Then we select “Version”.

Note: If for some reason, having followed the instructions. the process did not proceed, this means that some of the positions we have chosen have been reserved. In this case we choose different positions and repeat the process.

Step 5: Prepare/Make Payment

Once the requested seats are reserved, we are taken to the page where we preview our options. As long as everything is correct, press “Payment” to be transferred to the secure environment of Piraeus Bank and follow the instructions there to pay the necessary amount.

Note: In the event that the bank does not approve the transaction or there is a technical problem, we are automatically transferred back to “Payment Preparation” to perform the payment process again. If, however, this does not happen and you suspect that funds have been held from your account, do not worry. The bank releases the money after 24 hours.

Step 6: View/Print Ticket

As soon as the payment is executed successfully, we are transferred to a page where we download the ticket file from the corresponding link. At the same time, an e-mail has been sent with the link, to the address we have stated in step 4. In case we do not find the e-mail, check our junk mail.

This file must be printed and presented when boarding the bus.
